#1: Is there any age requirement or restriction to rent a car?

The driver’s age should be 20 or above and should have been in possession of a valid driver’s licence for at least one year to rent a car.

#2: Can I use my driver‘s licence in Iceland?

As long as your driver’s licence issued in your respective country or state is valid, you can use it in Iceland to rent a car. International Driving Licence is not required but can be used too.

#3: Where are you located in Reykjavík?

We are located in the heart of the city at Hverfisgata 105 in Reykjavík.

#4: Where are you located in Keflavík?

In Keflavík, we are about 8 minutes away from Keflavík International Airport, on Njarðarbraut 11.

#5: How many miles/kms I can drive the rental car?

Unlimited. There’s no limit on it and no additional cost will be levied on it.

#6: Am I permitted to drive on F-roads?

As long as you are driving any of our 4x4 jeeps, you are allowed to go on F-roads. Most importantly, driving any of the rest vehicles is strictly prohibited on those roads along with Kjölur (road 35) and Kaldidalur (road 550).

#7: Can you elaborate on your cancellation and refund policy?

You can make an appeal for cancellation at least 48 hours before the pick up is scheduled for the rented vehicle. If the renter cancels with over 48 hours of notice, a full refund will be issued. While cancellations in the notice of less than 48 hours are not subject to refunds.

#8: Do you offer road assistance?

Yes, we provide round-the-clock road assistance. You can reach us on +354 771 4200 to avail yourself of 24/7 road assistance.

FAQs on Pick-Up and Drop-Off

#9: What options of pick-up and drop-off you offer?

We cover several locations for pick-up and drop-off in the Reykjavik and Keflavik regions including Keflavik International Airport. These services are available around the clock at all locations excluding the Reykjavik office which is accessible from 8:00 to 19:00.

#10: Is there any fee charged for pick-up and drop-off?

They can cost you 3.000 ISK for many locations including Keflavik International Airport, Keflavik region and the Greater Reykjavik area. They are, however, absolutely free if you pick the locations at our offices in Reykjavik, Keflavik and zip codes 101, 103, 104, 105, 108, 109, 111, 200 and 201 in Reykjavik.

#11: How do you make the delivery of rental car for its pick-up from Keflavik International Airport?

We will be waiting for you in the arrival section of the airport (right after you bypass the customs). Locate us from the name of the renter that will be on the name-tag we will flash there.

#12: How do I return the car at Keflavik International Airport?

Summer Time

You can rent and return the car at our Keflavik office. From there, we will drive you to the Keflavik area or Keflavik airport (if you have booked us to take care of your pick-up and drop-off). For your information, if you want to drop the car at any location but our office, we will charge 5.000 ISK extra.

Winter Time

All you have to do is reach P3 (long-term parking) by following all signs. The P3 level is split into various sections such as A1, B1, C1 and so on. You are required to leave the rental car in C3 UNLOCKED. From there, we will pick it up. And please note, while you will make an entry to the C3 section, you will receive a ticket. You have to hand over this ticket (with GPS if you have) along with the keys of the car to the glove department. That’s it! And do not forget to take all your belongings with you.


#13: What insurances are made part of your car rental services?

With all rentals CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) is included at no additional price. You can buy additional insurances and SCDW to lower your self risk.

#14: What is SCDW insurance’s self-risk?

The self-risk for SCDW is 100.000 ISK.


#15: How can I make payments?

You can make only credit card payments with either VISA or MasterCard.

#16: How safe is it to book from this website?
